ruddy nora.

4 years and 40,000 miles and our mcs will need a third windscreen... always chip in the same place - middle 1/4 way down from top around the rear view mirror...

currently an rac one but going to try and get a pukka bmw one again next time because it just looks better having the right logo! hehe

getting a bit fed up though. i guess it just has to be down to the Duallit profile...!

Unlucky, some people do suffer from this more than others, I am still on my original after 50K+

As above can you not get them fixed when they chip?

the last one cracked straight away so no. this one... there's an outside chance i think but again it's quite a bad chip and you just know it's going to be just inside the radius used for MOT failing...

shame. Hope it can be fixed, no harm trying first before it does go

They suffer very badly, no surprise though, the front screen resembles that of a transit in its angle hehe

up 25mm max repair - but will depend on the position of the impact.

RAC branded windscreens - no comment.

OEM for logo-ed screen will either be SEKURIT Saint Gobain or Pilkington.

As OKGO said, the angle of the windscreen doesn't help and it was the same with the Impreza so if make you feel any better I'm on my ninth in seven years. Mileage doesn't help.

Keep your distance from the car in front or sellotape bubblewrap to the windscreensmile
