Hello,

I am the very happy owner of a clubman Cooper......D

It is my daily driver for work and nice to help wife carrying the 3 kids during WE as my other car has only 4 seats.

I already have a question regarding engine temperature, due to the lack of info.
I really pay attention to be gentle with throttle when car is cold. So, after how many miles or minutes (in the slow traffic), may I push the engine normally?

Thanks

I tend to just wait till the water temperature if up to its 'running' level (is half way for me, not sure if diff on a clubman), then i give it another minute or 2 as oil heats up slower i believe - i may be over cautious, but at least i know it'll be ok biggrin

In the infinite wisdom of MINI... they didnt bother putting a temp gauge on the R55 (Clubman) or the R56 (Hatch).

Thinking of it, the only objective way is to wait for the Star-stop system to work, meaning that the ECU finds the engine warm enough to stop it
