Just wanted to say that I won a JCWS Clubman for the weekend from MINI Australia. What a bonkers wee car. The visibility is terrible, it torque steers where ever it likes to go, the central Speedo is ridiculous (definitely racked up more points doing 120 when I though I was doing 80) and its annoying that you always need to press the "SPORT" button

But, as a car goes, it's likee a wee-rocket. Around the twisty bits North of Sydney, it was more fun than my 911. Raced a 335i around the twisty bits and it was brilliant.

I was previously a "hater" but now I'm a convert... maybe get one for the missus if she learns to love driving a manual.

I don't use the central one either, the digital one is far more useful. And I also don't like the fact that new new JCW speedo (160 mph reado-out, and goes 20, 40, 60, 80 etc) has replaced the old 10, 30, 50, 70 set-up which I really liked. The only real way to change it? Spec the £1500 sat nav frown I'll have to grow to it I think!

I couldnt get used to it and specced my cab with a chrono pack to shift the spedo into "the proper place" but since buying the R56 that has no option of an analogue spedo on top of the wheel, I've got really used to the digital readout.

Interesting comments about the visibility on the clubbie... thoes van doors are cool, but trailing traffic seems to disapear in the rear view mirror behind the split.

Random question. Does the JCW Clubbie (or hatch for that matter) come with an Aero kit or body kit of some kind in Auzz?

Another that just uses the digi readout here.

I've not "lost traffic" in the window split yet, besides when you are enjoying a MINI, who cares what is behind you*
