After a long weekend of driving I have come to the conclusion that my standard seats aren't good enough. I'm after some suggestions as to what seats I should go for I have looked at the JCW ones but they are a bit pricey. I'd like something that wouldn't look out of place in the mini but will be comfortable for both normal motorway driving and for the occasional trackday.

The JCW ones are recaro CS seats if I am not mistaken so can be obtained for a lot less than Mini will quote.

£736 from mini (each)

Pretty sure they are cheaper than that elsewhere, I am talking about the full leather ones, not the alacantara ones.

Ouch thats pricey!

Do the proper JCW ones have a logo etc on them? Mines got standard leather ones, but i'd like some better ones if its not going to bankrupt me!

Yeh they have the logo, and if you have the heating in your car, then they can be heated too.

I'll keep an eye out for them, I was also thinking of taking seats from another car is there any problems doing this other than the size of the seat and the frames?

yep the air bag light will come on unless you either have a resistor added in or have the same airbag installed, also you will need the pre tensionor or this will put the air bag light on

JCW seats are nice, bit tight though if you've got a larger shape though if you get what I mean LOL!

If you watch places like eBay or classifieds you can get a pair normally for about £700-£800.

Another option would be to keep an eye out for anyone breaking a MINI with the factory fit recarro interior, this is a much more comfy seat, but whilst also supporting you.
