Hi

Looking at a Sep 2004 JCW which has the right badges, airbox and the certificate but no receipt for the work carried out by JCG. Is there a register somewhere that stores the works number and what car it was fitted to?

I am guessing the answer is no but dealer has no receipt for the £3K+ spent on the works modifications 210BHP as they were not factory fit until July 05 so original invoice shows base car and options.

Guess I am just a bit paranoid....

Regards

Call up Mini Customer Services and quote the serial number on the engine plaque. Thats enough for them to verify it.

PDavison.

I have not bought one yet.

I had put a deposit down on one but the sale fell through as the car was damaged the day before pickup.

I have seen yours advertised however, the mileage is too high for me.

Many Thanks

I bought it anyway................

The current owner has the Cylinder Head and supercharger so I will keep that. I am also getting all the history from the dealer network.

I owned a Cooper S 3.5 years back but since then have been driving an SLK32 AMG so when I drove the Cooper S JCW I thought it was a bit slow but of course I am comparing it to the AMG.

I will post some photos when I get it. 2004 54 plate Cooper S JCW, Hyper Blue, Sat Nav, PDC, Electric Fold Mirrors, Visibility Pack basically everything except the panoramic which I am not interested in having had one in the past and never used it.

It will be the basis of a number of modifications namely the JCW aero kit, seats, wheels, spot lights and various other minor tweaks.

My previous one was this
