mini warranty - main dealer..?

do you have to get work done by your local incompetant, arrogant dealer or is it possible for a local garage to claim off your MINI (extended) warranty?

(i think i know the answer but holding out hope!).

ps i am sure some of you BMW chaps are fine. but mine aren't.

I believe it has to be main dealer but does not have to be the purchase branch

i wish it were the purchase branch!

(i doubt it but0 i still wonder if they harbour a grudge about me buying my car from the northwwest after getting pance service from the local dealer's sales team...!)
