Hi all, my partner has an 05 Cooper and when she brakes there is a knock/thump/loud click noise that happens once each time she does it and sounds like it is coming from the front of the car. Is this something that they all do or a known fault?
Sounds stupid I know but make sure that everything is screwed/bolted down properly - battery, washer bottle, wheel arch liners etc. I had an annoying knocking in the back of my Yaris and it turned out that the jack had got loose and was rattling about under the boot liner.
