Are there any known issues regarding Mini paint quality?
My wifes 2 month old Cooper S has suffered a very minor dent to the drivers side door. It is hardly noticeable except a small area of paint within the dent has flaked off. The dent its self is not enough to have broken the paint. It has not been caused by another car door, there are no scuff marks, scratches or the usual that is associated with the everday "car park" dink. The dent is round and about 1 cm in diameter. The paint has flaked off down to the primer.
Obviously BMW are not obliged to sort the problem as the cause of damage is external although I am concerned as to why the paint has flaked off after such a very minor dent. My wife is awaiting a decision from BMW as to what they may be able or not be able to do.
