New JCW 2008

Hi All
I have been looking at these for a few weeks after finding out these are becoming available. I am interested in finding out more I have read most of the info I can find on the net, I would be interested to hear peoples views on the new car especially how you see it comparing to the GP (although I know its not a direct replacement)

I think until it is tested back-to-back it will all be speculation at this point.

I expect it will be faster, hopefully better mpg and will look better as I hate the orange bits and rear wing on the GP. Will it be as special as as the GP...suppose time will tell.

Been told that the dealers will have some information about these late May time, and I hope as you do that these will be special!

I think it depends on what you are buying the car for.

If it is an everyday motor then the R56 JCW will be a great car - fast, refined, good MPG etc.

If it is a weekend / fun car then I personally think the R53 JCW is more fun - it is not as quiet or refined but it has more character and (hate to coin the phrase) more 'kart-like' handling.

Ive been very fortunate to drive most minis including the JCW. Wow really it is amazing loads of power obviously but the torque suprised me the most. It is really impressive, fast and sound great.
