Good deal, yay or nay
Discussion
Sister has just bought a mini from a mini dealer.
Dec 57 plate Cooper (new style)
Lightning Blue w/black roof
900 miles currently
Chilli Pack
Interior Light Pack
Sports seats
Roof Spoiler
Pimp tints
17" web spoke alloys
Lists well over £17k and is only 6 weeks old.
£14500k. The catch is she can't have it until 31st March as it's being used by the guys at the dealer and as an occasional demo. Dealer has said they might be another 600 miles on the clock by 31st March and if any damage happens between then and now will be repaired and it will be like new.
My problem with the deal is that it's 6 weeks almost until she gets it. The bonus being she has 6 weeks to get the best price(private) for her current car, the downside being she might see something better in the meantime and it's still being used. If it were me I couldn't hold off looking for a better deal in those 6 weeks.
Got the car on mini select finance, 5.7%. I'm a bit cautious of these finance deals but she seems happy with the deal and the car. What do you mini guys think?

Sounds reasonable in terms of price.
i'd kind of be a bit worried that because they KNOW they have a buyer that they won't treat it as well as they may have done. sure it'll be fine though. there aren't too many deals on them. seeing as it'd supposed to be a december car..check it has got the stop-start thing that was supoosed to have been introduced in end sept.. if it doesn't then it's an older spec 9again sure it isn't).

..oh and i think the finance might be b
ks - check that that's the APR (i.e. as near as you can get to the true annual cost of the loan).. i am pretty sure it isn't unless they've made their lending more competitive 3 years ago they made it sound dirt cheap but it was actually more like 8% (when you could have got a bank loan way way cheaper).
