locking wheel nut adapter

My misses has a new mini cooper, not the new new one but the new one, I need to change a wheel but can't find the adapter for the wheel nut.
Is this usually kept with the jack or somewhere else as I can't find it.
I know it may be a dumb question but on vehicles i have owned previously they have been placed in ash trays etc by manufacturers.

On the 'one' it was kept with the jack under the rear carpet but if you can't find it there I can't think where else it would be kept

Lift the boot carpet, and you should find it tucked away in a slot next to the battery
