Mini Traveller Spotted in Bromsgrove
Discussion
Saw tons of Clubby shells all ready to be assembled when I went round the MINI factory a few weeks back.
I quite like the Clubman, but don't like the fact that the suicide door is on the (imo) wrong side, and the way the glass surround looks like it's been copied and pasted along in Microsoft Paint

Those front body panels are off the R53. I hope they update to R56 before launch.
Doesn't look like it to me?Edited by detchibe on Wednesday 18th July 17:54
This is going to sell in absolute sh*tloads!
BMW has done it again.
Car is soooo unmistakable. AND no opposition.
Think they might change the clubdoor seat-belt when a few have tripped over it
out into the road though.
Rear is superb and looks the biz, twin rear exhausts, twin rear opening doors, twin rear wipers and bags of space with seats down.
'nother point, they might change the locking mechanism too after a few have shut the wrong side of the door first - you need to shut n/s rear door first.
and Yep, def getting one!
Rear leg room and space was reason for not getting 'normal' Min.
Just noted really nice set of pics of S-version from all angles on Auto Distress

i think the silver rear looks sh1te. i like the van back doors. i hate the fat it only has one suicide door. i think you need a dark coloured roof to hid the fact it's higher. at last the rear pimp tints look right because it is more van-shaped. i like the exhausts. i dislike the mini badge being down in the left hand corner of the boot. overall i agree it'll sell well. and again it'll be a less foolish new purchase. i doubt i'll ever buy another new car..on that basis i'd rather have a used five door golf to the traveller but i acknowledge that it has potential. i think you need stick on faux wood vinyl down the sides in a woody stylee.
Yep, suicide door is definetly on the wrong side for the UK. There are no plans to change it as apparently it would cost to much to re-engineer the shell.
I've only seen one so far and it looks kind of OK. I think it will be a very colour dependent car, some will look great, think white will look really good, whilst others will look shite.
But as has been said, BMW will sell tonnes of them! Absolutely no competition...!
