Another non-runflat thread!
Discussion
I'm just about to acquire some new alloys for my P&J (OZs from Mini Sport if you're wondering) and convert to non-runflats (205/17/45). I was intending to tell my insurer that I'm putting new non-standard wheels on, but wondered whether people bother telling them about the fact that the rubber is also being changed. I'm insured through A-Plan so I suspect it's not the first time they've had this, but wondered if anyone has encountered any difficulty in this area.
Thanks for any advice.
Thanks for any advice.

Was originally insured with D.line when i changed to new 18's with Toyo's they charged me another £60 for about 5 months insurance never mentioned the tyres were not runflats. When i changed to A plan and told them about the wheels no extra charge. Always best to tell them though any excuse to get out of paying out.
Thanks for the advice. I took the plunge and called A-Plan. They checked with my insurer and told me that there would be no additional charge for the new alloys or the fact that I'm going to be running on non-runflats. Bonus!
Am now in the process of shopping around for the best price for my baby's new boots. I'm looking at getting OZ Superturismo WRC's (hoping that the red/white theme will look cool and not completely overdone!) and when I rang the OZ affiliate shop today to discuss wheel/tyre packages the chappie there told me that I should get 215/40/17, but previously I'd been thinking of 205's. He said that as the MCS is not such a miniature car it will need the extra tyre width. I have to ring back tomorrow as I didn't have a chance to ring until late today and he said the suppliers would be shut. So that I'm prepared for my conversation, should I go with the 205's or 215's? I'm more than happy to go with a wider tyre, but when I've checked on Mini2 people seem to stick with 205's.
Any advice?
Thanks!
