Finally Arrived!! White R56 Cooper S.
Discussion
Finally Picked it up at the weekend!!
Only done 300 miles so far but I can say its worlds ahead of my old cooper.
Also really suprised with the performance, Really does go! but put it in 6th and let the cruise control do its thing and i returned this morning from chester to coventry 38mpg which i thought was good for the performance.

Hi Columbo,
Looks great with the body kit on it. Might have a look at putting one on ours now I have seen it.
I would be interested to see if you have noticed much in the way of wind noise at 70-80 mph, as we seem to have some what appears to be coming from towards the back of the car - very noticeable, but seems to subside as you go over 90. If not, I wonder if adding the body kit will actually help (good excuse to get one!).
Interestingly, ours is going back to Halliwell Jones (although Warrington not Chester) tomorrow to be checked over for a couple of problems - see my other thread 'R56 MCS - 2 months in'. You might want to keep an eye on similar occurances on yours.
Jon.

yep. i really like that!
the front and rear bumpers are really very good. i never like the kit on the mk1. that looks really good. i am still not overly keen on the sideskirts that are basically the same as the mk1 one but the bumpers are far better than the std mk2 mcs imo. i wouldn;t have OEW personally (as you can see from my all hyper blue mk1 i am not too retro) but this is the first mk2 that i have seen that i have (almost!) preferred the looks of the the mk1.

Nice looking S, really liking pepper white at the moment looks brill, the bodykit really sets it off. You might find this interesting Lohen the staffordshire mini tuners had borrowed Milteks demo R56 cooper S demo for the Bingley Mini show, with their Down pipe, sports cat an cat back exhaust system they reckon its putting out 202bhp @ the flywheel!!!!!!!!!!!
cheers guys, im really chuffed with it!
I am going to put some MINI GP wheels on it i think, the 17s don't seem to fill the big arches that well. and i think the black GP wheels would look stunning with the white/black combo
as regards to the wind noise i havent noticed anything? so maybe it is a good excuse to buy it!!! as soon as i found out i could have the kit i had to have it, I had it on my old one, but i must admit it looks better this time round.
No problems to report as of yet, oh except for the tight boot seal, which keeps indicating boot open, but im in the car design industry and this is described as "Newness" as soon as you use it a bit, it will be fine!
