Hi there,

My MINI One is currently returning 23mpg - and that's with no hooning, just careful driving! Has anyone ever had this problem? Could it be a problem with the oxygen/lambda sensor? A site I was reading suggested this, with symptoms of poor fuel consumption and erratic idle - funnily enough, I did think my car sounded a bit odd when idling.

Forgive my novice-ness, but if it is the sensor - where are they located? Easy to replace? Or should I take it back to the dealer for the umpteenth time.....

Cheers,

Nik

Yeah looks like it's the dealers again. Was going to take it to a different place because of bad history with the local main BMW place - mainly due to the fact it failed it's MOT because of these...

...which were apparently checked by them in a service 2 months before the MOT. Whatever!!
