Got the regular 'sport' (= Cooper S) seat option in the One and after 111,000 kilometres I must say I reckon this to be an essential. The standard seats not only lack lateral support, but also are most definitely not designed for 6'3" males... 
Best thing is, ticking the 'sport seats' box in the option list automatically upgraded one to the Cooper upholstery (mine has a red interior) from that horrible cloth pattern they put in the One as standard. (an obvious attempt to make punters go for the more expensive versions...
).
At 379 euro, it's also one of few MINI options that's not horribly overpriced.
