The Seven is a One
The Park Lane is a Cooper
The Checkmate is a Cooper S

There is nothing different mechanically just some options, wheels, fancy paint/decals and seat coverings.

Yes. The One 'Seven' has unique red paint, alloys and '7' decals and interior trim to evoke the original Mini Se7en. Also available as a Cooper (?).

Cooper Park Lane has fancy trim, a silver paintjob and 'Park Lane' decals amongst extras.

The Cooper S 'Checkmate' has unique alloys, a silver roof, unique metallic blue coachwork, a weird blue/white combo interior and a chequered flag in the indicator panel. It costs a lot for what it is.

not sure i agree - it costs slightly less than specing and MCS to the same level. don't persoanlly like the graphics/badging though.

I must retract my statement - it is an expensive car, but cheaper than speccing an equivalent CS.

Wife bought a new Mini Cooper Park Lane earlier this year. Basically we had been intending to buy a "normal" Cooper with a few extras, but it seemed that all the extras we wanted (air con, alloys, CD player etc) came cheaper if you bought them as the Park Lane package, and you got a leather / chrome interior to boot. It's only available in one colour though, so if you don't like that you're stuffed!

All of them run the same mechanics as their original cars as if it were. They do cost less as per speccing a normal car up, but only a little less. I think that the Park Lane is the best buy because you get proper nice leather sports seats and C/C as std.

I have a One Seven, it has different seat trim (nicer), different alloys (not as nice) a/c and loads of little options like height adjustable passengers seat and more interior lights than Blackpool Illuminations!

It was marginally cheaper than speccing a One to the same level and mine is Solar Red (now discontinued) which I really like and isn't available on the normal models

Here's a piccy of my car...
