2025 Mini Cooper E - Ambient Lights behaviour

Hi All

Can I ask fellow owners of this model and maybe others of this generation whether the ambient lights are ON during the day?

When we drove a demo car, we played with the Experiences button, which loads different themes for the dashboard and the ambient lighting.

I am 99.9% sure that the Ambient lights were on during the test drive and when we sat outside the garage "playing" with the settings.

Now we have the actual car and have added our profiles etc, the ambient lights are NEVER on during the day......yes, I've checked the settings and they are on and at their brightest setting.

I know it's not a big issue, but......what do others see during the day please?

Try turning the headlights on. Usually AL only work when these are on. Could have been that you were sitting outsight the garage an overcast day with the headlamps set to auto hence they were on!

Yes - if lights are on, the ambient lights are on. (if you go for L2 then there's a nice glow around the fixed pan roof too!)
Sorry to hijack the thread, I have an alternate question though - when selecting B mode for driving, does anyone know if the brake lights illuminate when you off-throttle? I wonder this every time I use regen brakes.
