Mini R58 Clutch

Daughter has a 1.2 Mini Cooper 2008, clutch has started slipping. Local man with spanners told her £500, is this a fair price please? Stevenage.

I would say damned cheap, in fact too cheap.

He won't be replacing the DMF at that price.

£500 is about right without the DMF, a clutch kit cost around £150.

Final price is £650, the Mini has a full year's mot so I think it is worth doing. Might have been worth £500 trade in. Thanks everyone, hopefully she can get a couple of years more life out of it. It is a nice car, quick and has the full sunroof. Maybe I will have it when she can afford to upgrade.
