Hi Guys
Not been on here for some time, in a bit of a pickle at the moment. I haven't driven my mini for a few months (health reasons) and have been turning it over to keep it ticking, but today it's as dead as a dodo!
I've got in using the key out of the fob, but cannot open the boot to get my power pack and jump leads out...does anyone know if there is a manual way of opening the boot please. I have been through the manual but that's as much help as a chocolate teapot
Any help will be much appreciated
Thanks

You should only be jumping it from the battery terminals in the engine bay.

Thanks for your reply

I do know where the engine bay is and how to jump start...I need to access the boot which cannot be opened because the battery is dead.

Not sure about the Coupe but on a standard Cooper S there should be a pull cord under the rear seat base - just need to pull the base/bottom cushion or whatever you want to call it up and there should be a ring there to pull

Hi, thank you for your reply, unfortunately it's a 2 seater, so there's no rear seat to lift up.
There is a through hatch which I've opened and tried to reach inside the boot, without success. My nephew is coming to jump start it for me and then I will make sure my jump leads and Halo are stored for easy access.

OP, I am not sure if you misunderstood this post. There will be a +ve terminal in the engine bay, use this and the -ve (chassis) to provide power to the car.
