Hi all,

Other half came home Friday night with ABS, 4wd, DSC lights etc etc on all on her 2012 mini countryman.

For my sins I’d plenty of BMWs in the past and still have an old laptop with ista on it so plugged it in and sure enough front right ABS sensor was dead.

Replaced yesterday, reset faults all good. But she took it out today and every time you so much as look at the brake pedal it’s triggering the ABS.

All 4 sensors reading wheel speed correctly and steering angle seems correct too. No fault codes - anyone any ideas?

I can’t really be bothered messing with stuff these days but hate taking something in somewhere when I’ve already been at it…

Thanks

Edited to update. Been a spin around the block and warning lights have all returned.

Speed reading for the new sensor is 255km/h when stationary rotate

This is the same as before I replaced it, wondering could it be a wiring or module problem rather than sensor now.

Yes, it could well be, or an ABS module fault.

Best get a good quality code reader on it in case there are other fault codes.

Thanks, using ISTA on laptop and I’m getting the codes below.

• Signal (acceleration data) invalid, transmitter DSC
• EGS: Interface ABS/ASC/DSC: wheel speed FR
• No message (wheel speed, OxCE), receiver DDE, transmitter DSC
• No message (DSC status, 0x19E), receiver DDE, transmitter DSC
• DSC wheel speed sensor, signal, front right, discontinuous
• CAS: Input, brake lights, implausible

Seen some suggestion of wheel bearing magnets going missing. I think what I am going to do is swap the old sensor into the other side, if it works I’ll know the fault lies elsewhere (and I won’t be binning a good oem sensor for a generic replacement)
