F56 Audio Upgrade
Discussion
Various options to improve the sound quality;-
If you are proficient (and confident) at doing it yourself then look are replacing the standard speakers with suitable 'drop-in' replacements from Audison or Focal (other brands also available). With a Base-level system you will want to fit the Harmon Kardon A-pillar trims to allow the installation of separate tweeters to get any decent level of sound quality. Note that the F56 Mini is basically a 1 series bmw when it comes to speakers so there are loads out there that suit.
If you don't want to 'do-it-yourself' then give Studio Incar or Cambridge Car Audio a call as they are both highly regarded for BMW / Mini upgrades;-

No doubt there are other Car Audio specialists that offer similar, but I would have no hesitation in sending my own car to either of those mentioned above.
In terms of Carplay, there are various options available depending on what head-unit you have (the bit behind the dash) and what screen you have. You might be lucky and find you can activate Carplay with just some coding, or you might need to replace some of the hardware (headunit, possibly screen) prior to the necesarry coding. Agian, the F56 is basically a BMW so there are lots of coding specialists out there that can help - just have a google.
Of note, this guy gets a lot of positive reviews on the various BMW/Mini forums - https://www.facebook.com/people/Bavarian-Coding/100057075985740/
There is some good (historic) information on the MiniF56.com forum so worth a search on there, but not much activity nowadays.

Thanks that was very useful.
I got the same comments from a,local installer so it confirms the right components.
The Cambridge Audio videos were very useful, just a shame they are so far away to get the work done.
Think I will go for the door and tweater upgrade to my basic system to start with, then maybe the amps later if needed.
Cheers
