New Countryman JCW owner
Discussion
Hi Mini folk
Mrs. HoHoHo has decided she’s had enough of her current steed and we have just purchased one of the last F60 Countryman JCW.
It’s fully loaded with tiny mileage and absolutely mint (should be, it’s only a few months old!). The only option is doesn’t have is electric seats but we can live with that. We looked at buying a new JCW Countryman but the shape is a bit far away from our comfort zone to be honest and £50k for a mini once you add service etc. is a huge chunk of money!
We managed to get a discount off sticker and we are picking the new car up next week, I’m really looking forward to driving around in the JCW, it’s like a roller-skate!
What has she gone from…..a 2019 Cayenne S which is a fantastic car and I’ll be sad to see it go but she’s been hankering after a Countryman for so long it’s got to be done.
The colour reminds me of a Carbon Black X5 I had many years ago, lovely when clean and against a light interior we think it’s a fantastic combination.
Some say the Countryman isn’t a proper Mini, I think it is with all the fun of the marque and performance to boot.

Very nice car. It took me a while to take to the Countryman, but actually really like them now, so much so that we bought one last year. Couldn't quite justify/stretch to the JCW but the Cooper S Sport is a really nice drive and a lot more fun than I thought it would be. We had a JCW hatch before and I thought we'd miss it and perhaps regret the "step down" but not at all. I imagine the JCW Countryman is a hoot.
Surprisingly it tends to get more positive comments than I'd expect, perhaps the design has mellowed in comparison to some of the new styling you get from this segment in general. You always get the odd dinosaur who says it's not a proper Mini, but there hasn't been a "proper" Mini for over 20 years, and that's not a bad thing. I think the Countryman still retains enough of the new Mini charm and character to justify it's badge

We've not had a mini before and this Countryman drives so well for its size and engine it's, well it's just great fun!Surprisingly it tends to get more positive comments than I'd expect, perhaps the design has mellowed in comparison to some of the new styling you get from this segment in general. I have a Taycan GTS as a DD and I'm now trying to negotiate a deal to buy a brand new (old style 24 plate) Mini JCW 2 door to add to the drive. It's well loaded and my thoughts are they are so good. In my eyes this is the last of the 'proper' mini shaped car (I really don't like the new interior) and I'd have a fun runaround car which will last for many years to come.
