Hi Guys,
just bought a 2012 mini cooper coupe it has the abs warning light on and the handbrake light on when driving. I have looked at various posts on this seems like first stop is change the abs sensors. I have front and rear wheels off and the brake pads look pretty new the guy i bought it from told me he changed them or the front ones to try and get these lights off. He also said their was one abs sensor front right, one abs sensor back left ? i would have thought one on each wheel surely ?

There is an ABS sensor on each wheel but only pad sensors on one front/one rear.

Don't use cheap ABS sensors & get the codes read first as it may not be a sensor.

Yes i see that now i got confused. I'm going to do the front pads and brake pad sensors and the abs sensors then see what happens regards the lights on the dash

I'm trying to read the codes i have a foxwell 510 elite but i don't seem to be able to narrow it down to exactly what the isue is. Should that scanner be able to tell me the issue as in abs sensors etc ? or is it not good enough ?
