Mini one 1.4L R56 turbocharger/supercharger?
Discussion
Would have gained about 70bhp give or take, it only has 83bhp now was looking to get it up to at least 150 through adding the turbo and remapping it. Also about the insurance, wasn’t planning on telling insurance that I installed a turbo hence I could keep insurance as low as possible with decent performance

Oh well thats fine. Undeclared mods are fine
You could most likely sell the car and get something insureable with 150bhp for what you plan on spending.

As impressive as your detective work is, I’m still wondering if it’s plausible to fit a supercharger in my mini one. However if you h think that I should just get the cooper S or like my previous threads mention, a 986 boxster or Audi tt, I’d be happy to take the 5,000 great British pounds in which it would cost for me to insure these cars for a year, from you. If this isn’t what your offering, nor the information on the supercharger, then I’m not entirely sure why you’ve bothered to acknowledge the existence of this post but thank you

Is it possible. Yes
Is it worth it. No.
Insurance costs with it declared would be stupid and you would never get back the money it cost to install it when you try to sell it because who would buy a modded mini one when you can just buy a cooperS if you want a supercharged Mini. At least the buyer knows BMW installed it properly in the cooperS

Just get a Mini Cooper D FFS. 110BHP, 120mph... just try to find one with ESP which wasn't standard. Might keep you out of the hedge a bit longer.
I just gave my R56 Dooper to my 20yr old and it was about £700 to insure. He was on my insurance for 2 years and as he took the car away to uni I had the policy updated, firstly I asked to class him as the main driver which made no difference (all this b##### about parents covering their kids is a load of rubbish) and then I just said I'd like to make him the policyholder instead which LV were fine with so now he can get a NCD going.
If you want to bring your insurance down just add your parents as named drivers.
