R56 3dr - How to remove fuel filler neck surround trim?

I've got some small dings I want to get out of the rear quarter panel that are very close to and just in front of the fuel filler cap and it would make life much easier if I could remove the plastic surround trim piece that bridges the gap between the filler neck and the rear quarter panel.
Does anyone know the steps required to remove this piece, as with it out of the way I could reach the rear of the dings with my fingers and would make tool access a doddle.
For the avoidance of doubt it is a late 2013 car with the full hinging filler door as shown below....
