Hi everyone, been asked to look over a 2020 cooper s 1.5 auto petrol for a niece. It's really not my kind of thing so would appreciate any potential issues to look out for?
It's at a local Arnold Clark Kia branch, so I'm presuming it will only have a month's warranty which concerns me.
I'm wondering if one from a mini dealer is a safer bet with a years warranty?
Appreciate advice from mini enthusiasts 🙂

Cooper is a 1.5
Cooper S is 2.0
2020 car would be eligible for warranty extension as well.

2020 can be Jan,July or December

Would colour my judgement as to what month I’m looking at …

And comprehensive service history

I've always bought Approved Used BMW/Mini as the warranty is probably the best you'll get. We've had no real issues with our F54 Clubman as it approaches 3 years old.
Last month they replaced the red bonnet stripes as the top coat was coming off, mechanically it's been perfect.
Can't say the same for BMW, have had a few warranty claims for them, even on new cars.
Pretty much everything is an option on Minis and there's a lot out there so take your time and get one with the spec you want.

Un1leash thanks, think that's the way to go. I looked at the car yesterday, but various bits of body damage, a worn interior and lack of service history made it a no go.
The cars actually for my niece so I'm going to push her towards a mini approved car with warranty.
