Will this battery be ok?

Hi all,
looking for some advice before i pick up:
Original battery is no fully charging, but is the original from 2010, so it's done extremely well.
couple of questions: will this battery be a direct replacement?
Although for a Opal / Vauxhall, looks exactly the same as the factory fit. Same specs and dimensions. (both Probably a rebadged Varta)
Also, i keep reading about "coding", i dont use the stop / start function .... so can i just swap out no problem?

Can't tell from the pictures but as long as there the same physical size, I think type 096 then yes 70ah 760cca will be fine.
You will need to register the new battery as if you don't tell the car the battery is new it'll think it's 13 year olds and adjust the charge profile which will severely shorten the life span of the new battery.

Thanks Cuprabob, I did look at their site as they usually are around best price.
Managed to source a less than year old one exactly same battery and specs £35 and £20 to register by local mechanic.
From the dealers: battery supply only £219, inc fitting / registration £309

Am I reading this right? You have to register a new battery wtf ! I have fitted a new battery to a Porsche and not had to do this! Is this the case for F56 also?
Just to add when I got a new battery for the Porsche I got a Bosch Silver from Halfords and better than OEM and a lot cheaper!

Anything with IBS(intelligent battery monitoring) needs a change in battery registering or coded to the car. If not the alternator will continue to charge as if the old one was still fitted, and it will knacker the new battery in short order.
Had BMW replace my battery due to having increased discharge messages, was the original at about 7 years old, so about right for it to start failing, only lasted two years before I started getting the same messages again, using my local indie he plugged in his diagnostic, and could see no battery had been registered from new, so even BMW themselves don't get it right.
Having stop start or not doesn't matter, it's IBS that counts.

The battery alone was £218 something double Bosh from an indie. I presume that they simply dont want that sort of work
