Recently bought the above. We had been looking at an older model 2019, but then a great deal came up for new. We didn’t drive the ‘23 so hadn’t appreciated how quiet the exhaust was.

Any suggestions on what to change to get closer to the original sound? Ideal would be within warranty but from what I’ve seen, don’t see an official product. Would also consider a modification rather than a replacement too.

Thanks

Mini change the goal posts in 2016 on the pro exhaust, I don’t think there’s anything available genuine to get more noise. The only option would be aftermarket

Ok thanks. I’d be interested to get opinions on aftermarket then in that case. Anyone have any recommendations? Ideally something not too loud and maybe valved.

Remus and millets both have valves systems, try the usual suspects, areeve, Lohen etc.

I have a cobra sport GPF back on my S. It means no engine management lights and my dealer is fine with it. It's louder, but no pops and bangs. Original pipe has to be cut. Bought and fitted by Lohen

I have done a lot of homework on this recently as disappointed with the noise on my 2023 jcw hatch.

What I have been told - no valved exhausts can be fitted without an eml and it costs £1500 minimum to crack the ecu, which will void the warranty.
There are a few back boxes that will go on, but wont alter the noise that much.

Personally I have found the noise gets better as the car settles in - im only 250miles in, but it already sounds better now compared to how it did. Some owners say 2k miles is when they are fully ‘run in’.
I am actually quite liking the discreet noise - coming from a history of chavy hot hatches.

Saying that I have just fitted an eventuri intake - intake noise on idle is obviously louder and the turbo/dump noises are considerably louder and enough to satisfy my inner child without being obnoxious.

Great advice thanks. It’s weird I was thinking this weekend that the noise is improving a little. I’m not up for doing anything that impacts warranty.
