Can't lower my recaros!

Hi , I've got a 2006 jcw with recaros , I've just put the driver's seat higher and want to lower it again , but it's stuck up , pushing the lever down is very stiff , doesn't really move , any ideas because currently Its not very enjoyable!

Is it not a scissor action like the later BMW? Pull handle up and the seat goes up and down at an angle.

Push lever up it goes up, push lever down it goes down , (well it should but mine doesn't )
