Hi all,

I find the ride quality on our JCW Clubman a little too harsh for our rubbish UK roads.

Just wondered if anyone has upgraded the suspension and has found a set up which is compliant and also has a neutral/positive effect on handling/etc ?

I have seen that KW have a “Street Comfort” model which seems to tick the boxes, but just wondered if anyone had first hand experience to share ?

Thanks!

how big a difference would ditching the run flat tyres make?

Did this to my R56 FJCW and it made a HUGE difference. I’d definitely try this before looking at suspension mods.

What wheel/tyre sizes are on the car?

As above, with all of the binis a change away from RFT can make an enormous difference as there is so little suspension travel on these cars.

Thanks all. Fully agree, ditching runflats on my F56 definitely took the edge off, but it was still a very hard ride.

With the JCW Clubman, I don’t think it came on runflats ? At least mine isn’t.

It is on 19” wheels, so am definitely considering a swap to 18” wheels. I don’t like the design of the OEM mini 18s, been thinking of the NM Engineering Rse12 which I think looks very good.

Runflats were a £200 option on the 18" wheels only. We didn't spec them and have Pirelli P Zeros fitted and the ride is ok. My F56 is still on runflats but they were new so won't change for now.

I thought the F54 JCW came on non-RFTs, but maybe mine had been swapped out before I bought it.

I put Koni Special Active shocks on my R55 Cooper D and they transformed the ride quality.
