R56 Cooper - hands free?
Discussion
My friend has just bought a 2010 Cooper. Despite having phone buttons on the stereo and on the steering wheel, it doesn't seem to actually have bluetooth phone capability. Pressing the menu button on the stereo just brings up "config" and "Mini"' nothing for phone settings or trip computer. No DAB either.
Is there a relatively straightforward way of adding the required hardware to implement factory bluetooth?

Back in the day I fitted a Parrot Bluetooth kit to my R55 Lubman, but it look like they are no longer sold.
If you have a USB and 3.5mm audio jack (I cannot remember what my mini had) then an Echo Auto is a good solution. It will give you digital radio and voice control too. Weirdly they are not listed on Amazon at the moment but Argos seem to have the previous generation which works well.
