A few questions for GP3 owners
Discussion
I currently drive a F56 Cooper S and I’ve always wanted a GP3, the man maths is working out and I’m now at a point were I can justify the purchase. I’ve seen one in the flesh at a local dealership and I found it to be a better looking car in person. There’s a lot of appeal (to me) of a two seater pocket rocket that is rare and cheap to insure/tax
Two examples have come up locally one at £32k with 25,000 miles on it and the other at £34k with 11k miles.
Prices on the GP3 seemed to have been relatively strong since they released and while no one has a crystal ball I think it will be as good as a buy as you can get for a car. I’m aware I’ll lose money on it but I don’t anticipate values of these to fall off a cliff.
I’ll be arranging a test drive before making any decision but had a few questions for any GP3 owners.
My Cooper S suffered with the abrasive door seal issue which caused the paint to rub off on the driver and passenger door cills, I got this sorted under warranty but is this still an issue with the GP3?
I can fit my mountain bike with the front wheel off in the back of my Cooper S with the back seats down, I’m assuming the lack of rear seats will let me get my bike in? It’s hard to judge to space the fake strut brace takes up so any clarity on that would be appreciated as I’m not sure the dealer will like me chucking my mountain bike in the back.
The only major difference in service costs appears to be replacement discs when compared to my Cooper S. Major service, brake fluid etc all seem to be more or less the same price at main dealer price. Am I missing anything here? I’m anticipating more of a cost for tyres.
Lastly, what are your opinion on the car? It’s a car I plan to keep around for a while and would like to hear some thoughts from owners, as there’s not a lot of posts on here from an owners perspective.
Cheers

I reckon the door seal thing will still apply but not a big deal at those mileages. I just bought a JCW with 22k miles and it's not too bad even on the driver side. Not even down to bare metal and only on a tiny area. I just lacquered it and put some heli tape.
I wonder if the red bar at the back in lieu of the seat isn't going to be slightly in the way of your bike.
Otherwise I can't really help as never driven one although I should. Auto puts me off a little.
