R53 brake pipes

A friend is off to look at a couple of R53 MINIs tomorrow. Both have MOT advisories for corroded brake pipes front and rear (they’re both cheap cars), so it looks like a common issue.
Any idea how much these would likely cost to have replaced? It would be a useful negotiation point.

To pay a garage to replace all pipes would be a few hundred, to DIY if you have the stuff to do it, it is an easy days work & £50 at the most in parts.

An advisory on brake lines will only be slight surface corrosion, if there was any danger whatsoever of them rupturing it would have
been an immediate fail, so it might be that all they need is lightly sanded and a protective coating sprayed or painted on.
