R53 brake pad warning light won’t go out
Discussion
I had the yellow brake pad warning light come on some time ago,I’d recently changed front pads and disks and the front sensor was already cable tied up out of the way-not a problem as I check the brakes regularly.
So checked the rears and nothing to worry about as loads of pad left.
Mot due soon,so I’ve done the rears, tried splicing the sensor wires to turn light off,no dice.
So I bought a new sensor wire, left ignition on for a bit to reset the light ,out it goes ,all good.
I didn’t drive or start the car.now I’ve been out and checked again and the bloody light is on again and will not reset-any ideas anyone?

Break in the wiring somewhere, since it's your own car and you are diligent and well aware of the condition of your pads you could trace the wires
back as far as you can where it goes into the engine bay (there is only 1 sensor on the front and 1 on the rear) and join it together at that point.
Of course you would put it all back to normal if you ever sell it again.
