R53 faulty EWS 3 ignition immoboliser control module
Discussion
Hi PH,
I needs your help and advice. Last weekend I went to start the car and everything came on but it would not go. Me and the father in law plugged in the code reader and it said faulty EWS 3 ignition immoboliser control module part number 6905666. I ordered a used part.
I was speaking to the local BMW specialist I use to see if he could code the part bit he said he can't because it needs cloning and he does not have the equipment to do that. He gave me 2 options.
Option 1 is to buy an ECU kit online which must include ECU, EWS, Ignition barely, key all from the same car.
Option 2 is to try and find someone who deals with ECU'S who could clone the info on my EWS and put it on the used part I have brought.
I've Been looking and option 1 is around £100.
I've been googling and I can't find any who could help with option 2. Does anyone on here know anyone who can help? I'm based in Rochester Kent.
Thanks in advance for your help
Matt
