Just sold our 2010 R56 N18 Cooper S auto after 8+ years @ 85k miles.
Check the HPFP has been replaced, it should have failed by now.
The Rocker cover gasket can seep a little.
Regular/yearly oil changes is a bonus.
the N18 can still rattle a little on start up, but the noise disappears after a couple of seconds.
Drop links may need replacing, so the suspension may be knocking over bumps.
Check the a/c works, the condensor in ours went (hit by a stone).
Overall, it was pretty reliable. It was very well looked after, never really used any oil either.

My wife has a non-S version of similar vintage/miles to Maracus (2013 and 60k + miles) and has owned it for a similar time. It's had the air con condenser replaced (stone damage) and HPFP. It has recently had the sump gasket replaced (was dropping oil) - which the mechanic said was a common problem. It has a knock on the front suspension which I think might be the drop links or top mounts, which needs to be addressed. Other than that just routine servicing/tyres/ brakes etc. The car is serviced annually by an indy and has been 100% reliable.......so far!
