Mrs chemistry has managed to scuff and dent the lower front bumper/splitter on our 2018 Mini Cooper (134bhp / 1,499 cc).

I doesn't look too difficult to replace, so I was thinking of ordering the part and trying to swap it over myself. However, before I waste my time and money, can anyone with more knowledge and experience than me please let me know:

1) Is this really an easy job - just a few screws and clips?
2) Can I reuse the screws/clips that will come off when I remove it, to refit the new one?
3) Will either of these options for the new part (one seemingly legitimate, the other an eBay special) be the correct fit?

Part 51117301622 https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/mini-black-band...

Part MN3121801 https://tinyurl.com/2p9atu36

Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions/tips!

Perhaps no one has done that exact job on that exact car before.

Have you looked on realoem.com to see what the blow up diagram looks like? It could help.

Getting the front bumper off is easy - few screws along the top, a few in the wheel arches that you can get at without removing the wheels, and a few underneath - that you can reach without jacking it.

After that it's all just clipped together - so you might need some pry tools etc - and have sore fingers afterwards but nothing too difficult.

Not fitted that part specifically, but I have fitted similar side splitter parts to my F56 JCW.

Two points:

1) Is that a genuine OEM Mini part? I would be making sure of that rather than ending up with a pattern part that's a ballache to fit.
2) It's worth having a set of plastic trim tools to get the existing splitter off, otherwise you might end up butchering the painted part of the bumper.
