After a six month wait, my wife’s new Countryman has now been built and shipped to the UK. Great, or so we thought. The dealer has contacted us to say that Mini have placed a “technical stop” on delivery. This applies to lots of vehicles apparently. We have no more information than that.

Our assumption is that the vehicle has been built and shipped with some parts missing, so as to maintain production flows but it would be good to know what to look for when we finally get delivery.

There could be any of about 27,000,000 reasons for the issue, best get in touch with the supplying dealer not t'interwebz. wink

Fairly common occurrence with all manufacturers, likely either requires a software update or a quality control issue that has been discovered on a car in the same "batch" so all cars need to have manual checks, I wouldn't worry.
