Hi
Ive got a 2016 R60 Countryman diesel s with an intermittent ABS warning error.
I bought a Foseal OBD2 code reader to see if the car would tell me which wheel the failure is on , but the OBD reader says there are no fault codes stored.
Is it a case of the OBD reader I’ve got isn’t complex enough or do ABS errors not generate fault codes ?
Can anyone advise how to diagnose the error ?
thanks.

Unless the fault is showing at the time you try to read it, it may not be picked up by a reader that is not "dealer level".

The fault is now on permanently but the Foseal reader says there are no codes stored.
I think it’s a case of having to buy a reader that specifically says it can read ABS codes ?

I Don't know Foseal, but if the reader is just an engine code reader then it won't read ABS codes.

A generic OBD reader will not read ABS fault codes, you will need a more specific diagnostic scanner capable of probing the ABS system.
