Hi my mini has thrown an amber EML light this weekend. Checking with an OBD reader, the three codes are:

P2088 A Camshaft Position Actuator Control Circuit Low Bank 1b
P2090 B Camshaft Position Actuator Control Circuit Low Bank 1c
P0458 Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Low

I've checked the fusebox for blown fuses, no issues. I've cleared the codes, but they come back.

Its a Cooper 2012, 105k miles, and is otherwise in good health and regularly serviced.

Has anybody had a similar combo of codes before?

Any tips about other obvious checks I could do before taking it into a garage ?

Many thanks for any ideas you might have,

thanks.

If it’s the petrol engine it could point to the vanos solenoids.
Theirs one at the back and one at the front they can be cleaned but best to get genuine bmw parts as they tend to last longer.
Either that or the timing chain has stretched

Sent to local mini indy for diagnostic tests and had thermostat housing and oil pressure solenoid valve replaced. All seems fine now.
