Bought the boss a clubman last year. Its now coming up to 2 years old 13K miles & she booked it in for a service.
Why ?? Well the dash said service due in 7K miles. So she went to the local dealers & booked it in.
She then got a phone call from the supplying dealer asking do you want to sell your mini.
Followed by a call from the local dealer asking do you want to sell your mini.
Is there a shortage second hand, or are they wanting a new sale.
Its bought out right so i thought it might be a shortage of 2 year old cars due to the PCP 3 year deals.
Any ideas.

Second hand car prices, and the demand for them has rocketed of late, probably wants to buy it and slap a couple of grand on it, and a quick sale and profit.

Thanks for the replies.
So thats why no part ex or update was mentioned.
They could have offered mayo or ketchup to add to the chips.
Makes you wonder what would happen if your car required a new chip.
Hers has the camera disco lights packs etc.
I knew i should have bought Thora Hirds triumph herald.

Had this a few months ago. The dealer contacted my wife saying they could offer her a good deal on her 18 month old Clubman Cooper S. Despite my scepticism she got in contact and turns out they could biggrin

About 6 weeks later she picked up a brand new 3 door JCW (the car she's wanted for a while), albeit without the HK system...

My other half's Mini Cooper Convertible auto has just come up to 4 yrs old so the end of the pcp deal. Balloon payment was £8400, the Mini dealer offered £1K equity off a new one (so in effect the car was "worth" £9400). WBAC started at £11,500 and over the next couple of week emails from them current offer is £13,250.

It's gone mad.

I bought a JCW Convertible in December as a stop gap after my lease car went back, I'm now looking to buy a new Clubman JCW and have been offered £5k more than I paid for mine as a PX valuation for a November delivery, nearly fell off the chair!

Have you all received a new Mini after all the offered to buy your old Mini from the Mini Dealer? If so, how do find the new car conditions & functionality?

I’m a little sceptical as mine was in the same situation offered from my dealer and my new Mini is due to be delivered In January!!!! Without HK due to Shortage of semiconductor chips.

As long as my new car is in good working order with
good components I’m happy.
