Hello all Mini peeps,

I have a year old Mini Cooper S ( still within 3 yrs warranty). This is my first own Mini ! How exciting 🤩. So I would like your advice between signing up monthly Mini TLC service via the Mini dealership which would cost me around £19.99 per month with all the routine check up etc included OR should I go ahead with Private garage that specialised with BMW Mini? Friends said it would be cheaper to go with private garage ! But my concerned is will it effect my later on if I want to sell my car in 6-7 years?

What would you do?

Many thanks

Jane

For routine service I would keep it with the main dealer until at least the warranty has expired. From my experience even after this most Mini dealers are competitive for servicing. It’s a different a matter on repairs out of warranty however.

Go me me it’s the dealership no brain’er as if it’s comes to warranty work there’s no argument..

For me 2006 Cooper s Full dealer history, on time every time had new hatch done under the the 12 year corrosion at 11 years and 10 months old.

Apparently the main dealer service includes a body check so there was no gaps in there inspections. Always pays imho.

Thank you very much. That’s reassuring.
