Mini Connect - Version Discontinued

Hi all,

Had a quick scan but couldn't see anything on this topic.

Wife has a Countryman Cooper S, MY18. She's been using the Mini Connect thing on her iPhone for years, apparently Mini are discontinuing the version she uses and the new version is somehow locked to cars built March 2018 onwards... Hers of course built in February.

So, what's the rub with this? Seems like another example of crappy service which is what we've come to expect from Mini Coventry. Thank God we don't own the thing.

Has anybody else fallen foul of this? Any way around it?

Are you sure the old version won't still work but just won't get updates? It's also not really your local dealer's fault. MINI yes, Sytner, no...

The original mini connected app was the best.
it had the "crew" that talked to you what the car did things like full throttle etc.
