R56 Cooper D - clutch biting point
Discussion
Has anyone had any experience with high clutch biting points on a R56 Cooper D always being higher than most other cars (regardless of mileage)? Is this a normal characteristic of these?
Have bought a 2010 R56 Cooper D (BMW engine, not psa). Have had 2 other Cooper D's over the past ten years, and all of them (one at 40k miles, one at 130k miles and current one at 85k miles) seemed to have a high clutch biting point, however none needed a replacement clutch in my ownership thankfully.
Is this normal for Cooper D's? Or should I be expecting a bill for a clutch and DMF soon?
I know there's someone on this forum who has one of these as a driving instructors car with very high miles, but I can't seem to find their forum username anywhere. Would be interesting to get their thoughts/experience on this considering the high clutch use they had as a learners car.
Anyway, any thoughts/advice on this would be much appreciated.
