No digital dash unless you've ordered Nav Plus
Discussion
Seems like the semiconductor shortage is affecting MINI as well. The new digital dash is now only available if you order Nav Plus. Cost varies from model to model. Goodwill payment to be made to customers who have already ordered. It seems this is £200 / £300 but only if you revert to the standard dials - it's not taken off the Nav Plus cost.
Yes, we heard that from our dealer last week when discussing my wife's convertible order. We've ordered nav plus, but only to get HUD, which my wife likes. £1300 extra cost over standard nav! Rest of extras we probably won't use. Interestingly the configurator still shows Digital dash for both nav or nav+. Obviously, they haven't updated yet.
Each to there own of coarse, I had new Clubman loan car while my JCW was in for service, this had the new digital dash, nothing particularly amazing about it, certainly wouldn’t pay £1300 for it. In reality probably cheaper to make than the old gauges. It would be fair to say I was very underwhelmed!
Hello all, my first post having been reading the forum for a few weeks and having just taken delivery of a face lifted Cooper Sport in white silver. During our order we came out quite well from this situation in that the dealer contacted us to explain the situation and said that for cars ordered before 24th Feb who specified the comfort plus pack would be prioritised to have the digital dash with sat nav package included for no extra charge. So we were happy with that. So at current price £1100 extras for nothing.

The problem is I've had three cars all with the same dials. Four in a row would be too much and it was the digital dash plus the other interior changes which persuaded me to go for another. Oh, and the £10k discount!Madcow64 said:

Good deal! Certain people have certainly done better than others. It's a bit annoying that I've ordered pretty much the most expensive car they make and they weren't able to scrape together a digital dash. Still, life's too short to worry and the HUD, wireless charging etc will be nice. At least there is some extra value from the Nav Plus pack.
