We bought a Clubman Cooper S Classic today. When it came to the price the dealer told us it had gone up compared to what was on the website because March build onwards have a different spec - piano black door handles and lane keep assist have been added (along with some other stuff he didn’t seem too sure about - although he did print off a very basic spec comparison for us). I pointed out that was a bit naughty putting the prices up but not changing the website, he agreed, muttered about having to continually mention it to Mini, and then dropped the price down to match what the website said smile

(He showed me his internal screen with the car that we were discussing and the price shown was $3k higher than the website so I’m sure he wasn’t lying)

I can’t find anything in the press about it here (Australia) probably because March built cars aren’t here yet (the one they are going to try and get for us is on a ship but on another dealer’s code - hopefully they get it and don’t have to order one...)

Is there another LCI? I had a quick google and can’t find anything about it anywhere. March would be a half model year so the timing is right.

As an aside, why is it so hard to compare Mini specs? I can’t find any of the usual tables comparing each trim level anywhere!

The LCI 2 was released here in the UK in the last couple of months. The front grille/layout has changed, detuned engine on a Cooper S from 192 bhp to 178, different dashboard and some spec changes, ie heated steering wheel is an option. We've been waiting for release and we're test driving a convertible on Monday, prior to pulling the trigger on a Cooper S.

If it's in line with the UK there's a new steering wheel, digital dash, larger Nav screen as standard with touch sensitive buttons, black exterior trim including door / boot handles and adaptive suspension as standard. But...varies from country to country and model to model.

Thanks for the replies.

I can’t find anything that says those changes are on the F54 Clubman - everything says hatch / convertible only.

I suspect the dealer is confused, which means they’ll have some explaining to do if the car turns up without lane departure warning etc.

Looking at UK MINI website, it looks like the Clubman hasn't been updated like the hatch/convertible/countryman. It shows LCI I dash layout. I have a feeling(but may be wrong) that the Clubman is going to be discontinued soon. Have the conversation with the dealer-ask the question.

Was back at the dealer last weekend - they've got the one on the ship which is due here mid-May.

I got him to print the spec sheet. He ran through it and pointed out these 2 in particular:
5AS - Driving Assistant which he said is Lane Keep Assist
3L2 - Piano Black Exterior which should include black door handles

We'll see if he is right when it arrives smile
