Urgent help please, what’s this from ?!

Can someone tell me what this lead is please ?
My daughter has just taken a pic of it and I’m miles away from her. She had a new brake calliper fitted earlier this week so I just want it confirmed it’s nothing safety related before she drives off ?

Reasonably certain that is the brake pad wear sensor.

100% certain it is a pad wear sensor.

Looks like the end of the sensor.


No major drama. Either forgot to push it back on, or it failed to stay on.

Looks like the metal spring clip is missing, so its just fallen out off the pad, mine did the same.

Thats what I thought but I’d assume it’d be leaking oil if it was.
Will have a proper look underneath later.
