Looks like its been around for about 6-7 months and they used a customer car to develop it:

https://bluesparkautomotive.com/partfinder/product...

Seems mental, its basically Stage 1 remap gains from just a tuning box and in the current climate where remaps are not easy to get due to lockdown.

No other company seems to offer similar gains from a tuning box but 421NM of torque has got to affect the clutch no?

I've had dealings with this company in the past.
They are very good at what they do, their Customer service is absolutely fantastic.
I'd have no hesitation about dealing with them, or recommending them.

Yeah having spoken to them, their customer service seems to be brilliant.

My only concern is how much bhp and torque the new box puts out and whether the Cooper S B48 is going to go bang shortly after?

On the box I had it was very adjustable. Loads of settings.
Max is probably unusable on the road anyway. On off power is for 2 strokes only, so go midway?
Power without control etc. Lol
You are always going to pay for power, either fuel, clutches or engine parts!

270-280 bhp seems a common level for a stage 2 remap on the B48s although Lohen (when Manic remaps were around) were showing about 300 bhp running premium fuel (with an intercooler), although they show about 285 on their current ones. On a manual car, a std clutch can slip with circa 300 bhp depending on how you drive it which is why they offer an uprated version with various specialists. They also recommend uprating the intercooler & spark plugs (similar to the R56 model) to help manage temperature issues & improve reliability.

If you want to know more about Mini tuning get over to the Minitorque forum but be warned some of the behaviour /comments is a bit like being back at school as the normal comments included fitting coilovers etc. wink

Turns out my insurer don't insure performance mods (QuotemeHappy) so I am going to need to wait until the summer when I can renew and change companies anyway so may just go down the remap route as the warranty runs out at the end of March anyway.

We have JF Automotive near us in Kent and they seem to be a decent remap company with a good history.
