Hi as the title says does anyone now the current dealer price for a sat nav update? Or can anyone recommend a third party. I have used OEM Navigations before. They were fine but I had to get help getting the update on to a correctly formatted usb. I wonder if anyone has got a update on a usb stick ready to install I realise I would need to provide the correct maps and vin in order for a company to get the right update for the car.

Hi, some info here:

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=13...

I updated my R58's maps using a third party a few years ago. Sorry, I can't recall who it was, but I think I paid ~£50. All I had to do was pay up, download the file(s) from a link they provided onto a memory stick and plug it into the car's USB port in the glovebox. Worked fine. If you do a google search, there are several options that pop up.

mh125,

Have a look at satnavishop.co.uk then have a look under BMW and the MINI sections, I wanted to update mine my local BMW dealer quoted me £90.00 and when I popped into BMW parts department they wanted £100.00, so went home empty handed went online and found satnavishop.co.uk.

You will see options for MOVE, MOTION, PREMIUM, NEXT, ROUTE and NBT EVO navigation,

I wanted NBT EVO Europe update plus the fsc code for my F56 JCW PRO paid £39.99 item arrived by usb stick within 3 days, then I emailed them for code and it came through online shortly after message sent.

Took about 30-45 minutes to update from usb, it’s a simple process, and all ok.

If you get stuck with which version you need, email them what you’ve got and your vin number and they will advise you, and they need the vin number to get your fsc code so update works.

I’m not knocking BMW, but times are hard and I’d sooner have the money in my pocket.

Hope this helps.
Ian.

Thanks for the reply I’ve negotiated a service plan with my local Mini dealer and they have included 2 free of charge sat nav updates over the duration of the plan which should be 3 years.

All’s well, that ends well. You had a result my BMW service plan did not include the Nav updates

Well done.
